Leading seafood company Marine Harvest has announced that they will certify its salmon farms against the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) global Salmon Standard for responsible aquaculture, making it the largest company to date to commit to the ASC certification programme that ensures responsible farming practices.
The Aquaculture Stewardship Council is providing training to auditors related to the ASC Tilapia Standard. Successful completion of this training is a mandatory requirement of the ASC accreditation process. Interested Certification Bodies can apply for accreditation for this standard at Accreditation Services International (ASI).
