ASC logo rules for different user groups

Any commercial, non-commercial or media organisation can apply to use the ASC logo.

Below you can find an overview of which logo licensing agreement is required for different types of stakeholders.

Commercial logo licensing

If you are one of the following type of ASC partner and would like to use the ASC logo, please contact ecolabel@msc.org

Retailer
Shops and stores that sell ASC certified third-party branded products and private-label products to consumers, including online retailers and fishmongers.

Supply chain company
Processors, distributors, foodservice suppliers and wholesalers that sell ASC certified seafood in bulk or in consumer-ready packaging.

Foodservice
Businesses that sell and serve ASC certified seafood that is 'ready to eat', and where it can be consumed immediately, either on the premises or as a 'take-away' meal. For more information read the Use of the ASC logo on restaurant menus.

 

Non-commercial logo licensing

Certified farms
The farm client and those represented by the farm client.

Accredited certifiers
Certification bodies that have been accredited to audit farms and/or companies against the ASC standards or Chain of custody requirements.

Non-commercial organisations
Non-profit, education and public sector organisations that want to promote their support of the ASC programme.

 

Media logo licensing

Media
Media organisations that publish news and features about the ASC.

Publishers
Publishers that cover the ASC in their publications.

Media can apply to use the ASC logo with the ASC Logo Media Use Request Form
