The programme assurance department at the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) is currently looking for:

Intern Programme Assurance

Are you a hands-on person who would like to gain experience in multi-stakeholder work in a fast-paced and international environment? Do you want to get involved in quality and control for assurance purposes? Are you available for at least 6 months?

Join the ASC for an exciting and challenging internship where you will learn a lot and develop new skills in a short time. The field of responsible aquaculture is moving forward rapidly and our programme assurance team needs support.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their understanding of assurance practices while gaining practical experience in database work, data screening, preparation and analysis. 

Key responsibilities
You will work within and support of the programme assurance team’s (PAT) day-to-day activities. We give you direct responsibility and your own projects in order to work independently. You will help prepare, revise databases, and assist in the processing of the certification related documents.  You will also work closely with your PA team members to analyse data and assist in various matters. There is also time to develop your own ideas to help further your personal development.

What we are looking for

  • Fluent in English (spoken and with a high standard of written English)
  • Willingness to use initiative and work independently
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in working with databases, PMSs, CRMs (Salesforce) and websites (WordPress) is a plus
  • A demonstrable interest in Quality and Control is a plus
  • Valid working permit for the Netherlands. Student status needed
  • Minimum availability of 6 months
