Setting The Standard for Seafood
In 2022, ASC celebrated continued growth, adoption of our ASC programme and key standards developments that all bring us closer to achieving our mission to transform aquaculture towards environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
Across our programme we noted some major highlights
- ASC certified farms sites increased by 22%, delivering an additional 14% in ASC labelled products to consumers worldwide.
- Our certified farms delivered over 1,400 environmental and over 700 social improvements on farms.
- Our campaigns drove brand awareness and market demand – leading to a 144 % growth in ASC certified Scottish salmon farms, as one example.
- We delivered key improvements to meet stakeholder needs across our certification and assurance programmes.
